Cedarville, OH – The North Greenville University women’s track and field team brought home two Top 10 finishes at the NCCAA Indoor Track and Field Championship on the campus of Cedarville University on Saturday.
With only two competitors qualifying for the meet, the Crusaders were highly outmanned but did not let that stop them from having a strong showing.
In the high jump, Shiobhan Fraser tied her personal best with a flight of 4’ 9” while also setting the school record in the triple jump with a flight of 34’ 2”, good enough for seventh place overall in the event.
The other competitor for the Crusaders was Nastassia Sanford who brought home a 10th place finish in the long jump with a flight of 15’ 5”. Sanford also competed in the 200-meter dash, setting the school record with a time of 27.32 seconds.
The Crusaders will be in action again on March 3 as they take part in their first outdoor meet in the PowerSox Invitational in Hickory, NC.
