Columbia, SC- The North Greenville women’s track team had a solid start to its inaugural season on Wednesday afternoon at the Gamecock Indoor Invitational on the campus of the University of South Carolina.
North Greenville competed against various teams including the University of South Carolina, Belmont Abbey and Mars Hill among others.
Bethany Armstrong was the top performer for the Crusaders as she posted a second place finish in the 800 yard run.
Kaitlyn Pierce earned a third place finish in the high jump after clearing 5’1 (1.55m).
In the shot put, Lauren Floro placed seventh with a throw of 30’3/4 (9.16 m), while Rebecca Pope and Erin Kicklighter place 11th and 12th respectively.
The Crusaders have a quick turnaround before traveling to Clemson, SC on Friday, January 27 to compete in the Clemson Indoor Invitational.
