Greeneville, TN—North Greenville women’s tennis suffered a tough non-conference loss on Friday with a 9-0 defeat to Tusculum College.

The Crusaders fell to 9-11 overall after the non-conference loss to the Pioneers.

Tusculum took an early 3-0 edge on North Greenville with a set of 8-2 wins. NGU entered singles play down 3-0 after the doubles sweep.

The Crusaders day didn’t get much better as the Pioneers also dominated singles completion. NGU’s best chance for a win came in the fifth position as Grayson Elms battled to a 3-6/6-1/10-2 loss.

The Pioneers earned the win over NGU with a pair of quick victories, downing Fernanda de Lucca 6-0/6-0 while Christina Kiessling fell 6-4/6-1.

North Greenville will warp up the regular season on Saturday morning with a 10AM match against Johnson C. Smith in Tigerville.
