North Greenville taken down by Lander

Greenwood, S.C. – North Greenville suffered a non-conference loss to Lander University on Tuesday night, falling 7-2 to the Bearcats.

The Bearcats swept doubles play with wins of 8-7 over Christina Kiessling and Kylie Sandusky, 8-1 over Camille Duhan and Fernanda de Lucca, and 8-0 over Graysen Elms and Faith Moyers.

The Crusaders got a pair of wins in the singles play but not before the Bearcats won the match with a 6-0/6-1 over Sandusky and a win over Moyers. The Crusaders got a win from de Lucca who won her frame.

Graysen Elms earned NGU’s other win with a 6-1/6-3 win. Camille Duhan fell 6-2/6-2 while Christina Kiessling lost 6-1/6-1.

The Crusaders fell to 9-10 on the season after the Tuesday loss to the Bearcats. NGU will travel to Tusculum College on April sixth to take on the Pioneers at 1pm.
