Banner Elk, N.C. – NGU women’s tennis earned its second sweep of the weekend a 9-0 win over Lees-McRae on Saturday afternoon.
Graysen Elms and Faith Moyers got the day started with a win in doubles play to give NGU a 1-0 lead. Elms and Moyers won their match 8-2 while Christina Kiessling and Kylie Sandusky earned an 8-4 win. Camille Duhan and Fernanda de Lucca rounded out the doubles play with an 8-4 as well.
Graysen Elms was the first to turn in a singles win as she cruised to an 6-0/6-0 victory to move NGU to 4-0. De Lucca wrapped up the win for the Crusaders with a 6-1/6-3 victory in the three spot. Kiessling and Sandusky brought home a pair of wins with 6-4/6-0 and 8-1.
Duhan and Faith Moyers wrapped up the afternoon with wins of 6-1/6-2 and 8-3.
