Tigerville, S.C. – North Greenville women’s tennis suffered a tough loss on Wednesday night, falling 6-3 to the Lions of Emmanuel College.
Emmanuel got the jump on north Greenville earning a sweep of doubles play. Faith Moyers and Graysen Elms dropped an 8-2 decision while Camille Duhan and Fernanda de Lucca were 8-5 victims. Christina Kiessling and Kylie Sandusky looked to pull through late but fell in a tiebreaker, 8-7.
Sandusky did her best to get North Greenville back in the mix with a 6-2/6-2 win to open up singles play. De Lucca followed up Sandusky with a win of her own to cut the Lions lead to 3-2, taking a 6-4/6-4 victory in the third position.
The Lions went up 4-2 with a 6-4/6-3 win the six spot but Faith Moyers pulled North Greenville to within one as she used a 6-4/7-5 victory to make the score 4-3. NGU’s momentum would run out though as the Lions locked up the victory with wins in the first and second positions.
The Crusaders will travel to Bristol Tennessee on Saturday afternoon for a 1pm serve with King University.
