Wilson, N.C. – North Greenville women’s tennis bounced back from a tough Friday match with a 7-2 win over Barton College.
The Crusaders swept doubles play with wins of 8-6, 8-1, and 8-3. The 3-0 lead gave the Crusaders momentum heading into singles play but the Bulldogs would take the first two singles decisions to cut NGU’s lead to 3-2.
Maria Vargas won her singles match 6-2/6-2 while Kylie Sandusky earned a 7-5/6-1 victory to secure the league win. Fernanda Santos de Lucca would add another win to NGU’s total with a 6-2/6-0 win while Graysen Elms capped the ady with a 6-0/6-0 victory.
The Crusaders will travel to Limestone College on April 11th for a 2pm first serve with the Saints.
