Tigerville, S.C. - North Greenville women's tennis added to its undefeated Conference Carolinas record on Tuesday with a 7-2 win over Southern Wesleyan University.
The Crusaders now sit at 4-0 in league play with a 5-6 record overall. A 3-0 start to the day gave NGU momentum heading into singles play. Camille Duhan and Christina Keissling got the day started with an 8-4 win in doubles play. Maria Vargas and Kylie Sandusky made the lead 2-0 with an 8-7(7-4) win while Fernanda Santos de Lucca and Graysen Elms completed the double's sweep with an 8-4 victory.
Duhan earned her second win of the day to start singles play as she took a 2-6/6-0/6-2 decision. The Warriors got their first point of the day in a 6-4/0-6/6-10 decision in the second position but Kiessling would secure the NGU win with a 6-2/6-2 win in the third spot.
The Crusaders also got singles wins from Sandusky (7-6(7-4)/7-5) and Elms (6-0/6-2.). SWU's only other win of the day came in the 5th position, a 6-3/6-1 win.
NGU will be back in action on April first against Pfeiffer University at Vance Tennis Complex. First serve is scheduled for 2pm.
