NGU stays perfect in Conference Carolinas play with win over Emmanuel

Franklin Springs, GA - NGU women's tennis stayed perfect in Conference Carolinas play Tuesday, with a 6-3 win over Emmanuel College.

Emmanuel took a 2-1 lead as the teams headed to singles play. NGU's only win in doubles came from Fernanda Santos de Lucca and Graysen Elms who scored an 8-1 victory in the third doubles spot.

The Crusaders would limit the Lions to just one more win, earning five of six singles wins. Camille Duhan's 6-1/4-6/6-4 win would set the table as NGU cruised to a 4-2 lead over the Lions. Maria Vargas and Kylie Sandusky would also earn wins of 6-7/6-2/6-2 and 6-7/6-4/7-5 while de Lucca added her second win of the day with 6-4/6-0 victory that sealed NGU's match win.

Graysen Elms would cap the win with 6-2/6-0 victory of her own. North Greenville improved to 3-0 in league play with the win over the Lions. The Crusaders will travel to Tennessee tomorrow afternoon to take on Carson Newman College at 1pm.
