Crusaders stay perfect in Conference Carolinas play after win over Bobcats

Tigerville, S.C. - North Greenville women's tennis earned its third straight win on Friday afternoon with an 8-1 victory over Lees-McRae.

The Crusaders put on a solid showing in doubles play as they swept for the third consecutive match. Camille Duhan and Christina Kiessling got things started with an 8-7 win while Maria Vargas and Kylie Sandusky doubled NGU's score with an 8-1 win. The Crusaders would wrap up the double's sweep with an 8-0 win by Fernanda Santos de Lucca and Graysen Elms.

Duhan would earn her second win of the day as she defeated Caroline Green in a 7-5/6-2 decision. Maria Vargas and Kiessling would earn victories of 7-5/6-2 and 6-1/6-0 to secure the victory for the Crusaders. Sandusky would add another victory with a 7-5/6-1 win while de Lucca would cap the Friday match with a 6-1/6-0 win.

North Greenville will travel to Emmanuel College on March 22nd to take on the Lions at 2pm.
