FLORENCE, S.C. — Head coach Tomas Kurhajec has added another player to the 2015 women's tennis list as West Florence tennis player Graysen Elms signed to play at North Greenville.
Elms was a five-year member on the Knights' varsity squad and was the team's No. 1 singles player. She compiled a 91-18 record during her career, was a three-time all-region pick and qualified for state singles tournament the past two seasons.
This season, Elms was selected to play in the North-South all-star tennis matches. She won her singles match in helping the South squad to the win.
Elms chose North Greenville over Belmont Abbey, Barton, Francis Marion, Erksine, Southern Wesleyan and Methodist among others.
"I love playing tennis and have wanted to play in college for a long time," Elms said. "I visited a lot of schools but when I visited North Greenville I really liked the campus and the players I'm going to be playing with. So, that really kind of stood out to me."
The five-year starter helped West Florence to five consecutive Region-6 4A championships and is a three time All-Region performer.
