CRUSADERS DROP CONFERENCE CONTEST TO PFEIFFER
Greer, S.C.—The North Greenville women’s tennis team was left searching for its first win of the 2014 season on Saturday, after falling to an 5-0 Pfeiffer Falcon team 6-1.

NGU’s lone win of the day came in singles competition when Christina Keissling upended Pfeiffer’s Myline Petitpas in three sets, 6-2, 1-6, 10-6, earning her, her first win of her career at North Greenville. Aline Ribiero dropped her singles set 7-6, 6-0, while Susane Lenz fell 6-2, 6-1. NGU’s Haley Hardwick (6-1/6-2), Susane Lenz (6-2/6-1), and Maggie Elliot (6-0/6-2) also dropped their singles games.

The Crusaders also struggled in the doubles portion of Saturday, dropping all three games to the Falcons. The team of Elliot and Lenz fell just short of a doubles victory falling 8-6, while Ribiero and Keissling fell 8-2, and Beacham and Gomez fell to their Pfeiffer opponents 8-5. NGU will return to action on February 26th when King University travels to South Carolina for a 2pm first serve.
