Greer, S.C.—The North Greenville women’s tennis team fell to 0-2 on the season, and 0-1 in Conference Carolinas play Tuesday, falling the Cobras of Coker College 7-2.

 

Cassie Curtis picked up the lone singles win for the Crusaders. Curtis was paired with Aline Ribeiro, and the team took the only doubles win for NGU.

 

The Singles Scores for the day were:

2. Cora Berna (COKER) def. Aline Ribeiro (NGUW) 6-1, 6-2

3. Stephanie Medley (COKER) def. Muriel Mendonca Abid (NGUW) 6-1, 6-0

4. Cassie Curtis (NGUW) def. Faith Baxley (COKER) 6-2, 6-0

5. Kayla Meermans (COKER) def. Rebecca Beacham (NGUW) 6-4, 1-6, 10-8

6. Brittanny Yando (COKER) def. Haley Hardwick (NGUW) 6-4, 7-6, 12-10

 

The Doubles Scores were:

The Crusaders will be back in action on Saturday with an 11am matchup with Tusculum College.
