Women's tennis pull off 7-2 win over Newberry

Tuesday afternoon, the Lady Crusaders competed on their home court against Newberry College.

The ladies played a great match and walked away with a 7-2 victory. The team dominated in singles, losing only the first set, and winning the last five sets without close scores. In doubles, the Lady Crusaders fell only in the first set, but more than redeemed themselves through the sister powerhouse team of Cassie and Cherie Curtis (Florence, SC) with a 8-2 victory. Sarah Stanga (Midland, MI) and Natalie Stewart (Anderson, SC) also proved to be tough competitors against their opponents with a 8-1 win in the final set of doubles. The ladies will hit the court again on March 25 in Raleigh, NC against Shaw University. The match will begin at 2 p.m.
