North Greenville women's tennis faced off in a double header against Division I schools, Gardner-Webb and Pfeiffer University, on Saturday afternoon.
The ladies fell to both teams with a final score of 8-1 in both matches. Against Gardner-Webb, Cassie Curtis (Florence, SC) competed hard, but fell in a tie-breaker against Kasey Ellis, who experienced an injury. Against Pfeiffer, the ladies gave their best efforts, but were unable to keep up with the Lady Falcons. Salem Erni (Switzerland) and Katherine Shaw (Lilburn, GA) played well in the first set of doubles and walked away with the only set win for the match with an 8-4 score. The Lady Crusaders will be back in action on their home court March 23 against Newberry College at 2 p.m.
