LADY CRUSADERS BATTLE HARD BUT FALL TO BEARCATS

Greenwood, S.C.--In women's tennis on Thursday, the lady Crusaders played hard against the Lander Bearcats and came up short despite their great efforts.

Cassie and Cherie Curtis (Florence, SC) battled to six all in doubles before losing with a final score of 8-6. Natalie Stewart (Anderson, SC) and Sarah Stanga (Midland, MI) also had good matches but lost 8-5. Katherine Shaw (Lilburn, GA) competed well in singles before losing 3-6 and 4-6. Head Coach Mark Elliot commented "that the ladies fought hard and played well, but  just weren't as good of a team as Lander." The women will play again at home on February 16 against King College at 2 p.m.
