At home in Greer, S.C. today, the women took on Lenoir-Rhyne College, for their last regular season match. Today had an expedient outcome of a 6-0 win for NGU. Due to their opponent’s eager desire to return home as quickly as possible, it was decided in advance to end the match as soon as one team had secured five individual wins.
All three doubles matches were won by North Greenville, putting them at a significant lead. Number one singles Salem Ernie, number four Courtney Lynn and number six Stephanie Tyrpak were the first Crusaders to defeat their opponents and determine the victory for North Greenville.
Coach Mark Elliot says he will not know for sure about their invite to the NCCAA National tournament until Monday morning, but is especially hopeful after their last two wins.
