The Crusader women’s tennis team beat Shaw University today, 5-4. It was a close match, with three wins in singles and two in doubles, but they pulled it off. Doubles number two slot Cherie Curtis and Cassie Curtis, as well as number three slot Courtney Lynn and Sarah Stanga took home wins.
Cassie Curtis and Lynn also won in singles, along with Stephanie Tyrpack.
Shaw University and North Greenville have been closely matched over the years. “We have won and lost to them in the past,” said Mark Elliot.
The women will again be at home tomorrow, Feb. 6 at 2 p.m., for their match against USC Aiken.
