NCCAA Women's National Tournament Day Three Results; IWU takes crown

GREER, SC—Indiana Wesleyan cruised to the NCCAA Women’s National Tennis Championship Thursday at The Greer Tennis Center. The Wildcats defeated Cedarville University 5-0 in the championship match, winning all three doubles matches and two singles.

Kristi Haddad and Shannon Gehrke defeated Alisa Rutt and Georgiann McClure 8-3 in #1 doubles. Brittany Raymond and Emily White beat Laura McCully and Betsy Verwys in #2 doubles, while Courtney Kooyers and Laura Helm defeated Melinda Workman and Olivia Dolph in the #3 doubles match.

Gehrke defeated Verwys 6-3, 6-0 in the #3 singles match and Melissa Masterson won 6-1, 6-1 over Workman in #4 singles.

North Greenville University and Bethel College tied for third place.
