Bethel takes NCCAA women's crown

GREER, SC- Bethel College defeated Dallas Baptist University to win the National Christian College Athletic Association women's tennis national championship. Bethel won all three doubles matches to take a commanding 3-0 lead. Down 4-1 after a Bethel singles victory, Dallas Baptist came back to win two more singles matches and make the score 4-3.

Sherra Milender, playing in the number six slot, then defeated Lacy Eggleston to secure the championship for Bethel. After Eggleston won the first set 6-2, Milender took that final two sets by scores of 6-3 and 6-2.

North Greenville University and Cedarville University tied for third place as their consolation match was rained out.
