Tigerville, SC - What’s next for the NGU Women’s Soccer Team?
The spring season for the NGUWS has begun and the team is incredibly excited for all it has in store. Tuesday, March 26th, the girls will travel to Clinton, SC where they will face the Presbyterian College Blue Hose. Kickoff is at 7:00pm, and the program is looking forward to playing a high level of competition. This will be the first official spring game NGU has seen in recent years.
The PC game is not all the program has ahead. On April 6th, Pepsi Stadium will host the second annual 7v7 tournament. Last year the event was a huge success, with top teams like Furman, PC, Young Harris College, and other universities traveling to Tigerville for the all-day tournament. This year will be no different, spectators are encouraged to come see a high level of competition and see who can capture the prize in 2019. The first game starts at 8:30am and the championship match will be approximately 5:00-6:00pm. Each game has six field players and one goalkeeper on a condensed field and full size goals. The NGUWS team is especially looking forward to this tournament because they have been practicing in a co-ed 7v7 league with the NGU men’s soccer team. This will be a great day with high quality soccer!
April 13th, 2019 marks the annual NGU Legends game. NGU Alumni will make their way back to campus and boot up for a friendly game against the current NGU players. This is a wonderful time for past, present, and future Crusaders to connect and spend some time at a place that makes a huge impact on ladie’s lives. Festivities will begin at 3:30pm and last until 7:30pm. It’s not too late to sign-up! You can contact Karis Hoover, at email@example.com to RSVP. Family, friends, past, present, and future crusaders are all invited for this special time together.
