Tigerville, SC - North Greenville put together an offensive performance to remember with a 5-4 victory over the Emmanuel Lions. The Crusaders are now 3-0 in conference play and are tied for the lead in the Conference Carolinas standings.
1st Half
Emmanuel struck quickly with a goal by Kayla Brown in just the 3rd minute of the match. The Lions would strike again approximately five minutes later with a goal by Moriah Logue. Karly Denaburg would connect off a corner kick to put NGU on the board in the 21st minute. Eleven minutes later, Maggie Schopp would score the equalizer. The first half ended with a 2-2 tie.
2nd Half
Megan Biehl scored the first goal of the second half to give North Greenville its first lead of the match. Emmanuel would eventually tie the match when Hannah Logue connected for a goal. Around four minutes later, a handball would allow a free kick for North Greenville, which Asheton Robinson took advantage of to give the Crusaders the lead back. Shortly after, Shelby Shepherd added an insurance goal to put North Greenville up by two. The Lions would put up a fight with a late goal by Hannah Logue, her second of the match. NGU was able to hang on for the last few minutes to take the victory.
