The North Greenville Crusaders remain perfect in conference play with a thrilling 1-0 victory against the Lees-McRae Bobcats. Just three minutes into the 2nd overtime period, Kayla Cruse put the game away with a goal that came off of a corner kick.
1st Half
NGU led the half in shots with 8 while the Bobcats were held to 4. Asheton Robinson provided the first shot of the match. Neither team would record a shot for the final 13 minutes of the half.
2nd Half
The Crusaders continued to put up shots in the 2nd half, recording 9 and holding Lees-McRae to 4. Needing additional time, Kayla Cruse would finally put the match away with a goal. Karly Denaburg assisted with a corner kick.
Individual
Kayla Cruse was the only player to find the back of the net for her third goal of the season.
Jaimie Shutt led in shots with 5. 3 of her shots were on goal.
Victoria Valentine made the most of her playing time with 4 shots, all on goal.
