NGU Women's Soccer Set To Host 2nd Annual 7v7 Tournament

Tigerville, S.C. - The second annual NGU Women’s Soccer 7v7 tournament is right around the corner.  On April 6th, 2019, universities from across the Southeast will travel to Tigerville to participate in a 7v7 all-day tournament.  Teams are travelling far and wide to maximize an NCAA “play date” during the spring season.

Last year, the Crusaders hosted its first ever 7v7 tournament, and it was a hit. Young Harris College took home the trophy in 2018 over opponent, Furman University. The Mountain Lions will be returning this year to defend the title. Teams are guaranteed three games in the round robin section in the morning, points are then calculated and teams become seeded for the single elimination knockout bracket played in the afternoon.

Below is the current list of teams that will be in attendance this year:

Anderson

Brenau

Carson Newman

Emmanuel

Erskine

ETSU

Georgia Gwinnett

Gordon State

North Greenville

SC State

USC Upstate

Young Harris

The deadline to sign up a team is March 1st, 2019.  To sign-up, contact Coach Andy Aulick @andrew.aulick@ngu.edu, each player will receive a free t-shirt. Spectators are encouraged to come watch and cheer on their teams.  Concessions will be available. The NGU Women’s Soccer Team is so excited to host this event for the second year and can't wait to see everyone there!
