Gaffney, S.C. - The 2015 season for the NGU women's soccer team came to an end on Monday after a 3-0 loss to Limestone College in the opening round of the Conference Carolinas playoffs.
The Saints took the lead six minutes into the game on a shot from Mary Beth Hervig, which deflected off of NGU keeper Madelynn Shober, giving Limestone an early 1-0 advantage.
The Saints added two more goals in the second half off of a deflected corner kick and a breakaway that extended the lead to 3-0. Schober finished the game with seven saves after facing 19 shots from the second seeded Saints.
NGU finishes the season 9-8 overall and a program best 5-6 in Conference Carolinas play.
