Tigerville, S.C. - The Lander Bearcats scored two goals in the second half on Wednesday night as the NGU Women's Soccer Team took its second loss of the season in a 3-1 defeat.

The Crusaders trailed by one goal in the first half but Lindsay Tuten's third goal of the season would even the tally in the 44th minute of play. Logan Lewis would break the one all tie in the 55th minute with her first goal of the season to make the score 2-1.

The Crusaders would continue to battle, putting pressure on the Lander defense but the Bearcats would add a third goal in the 86th minute to take a two goal lead, sealing the non-conference victory over NGU.

Madelynn Schober played all 90 minutes for North Greenville, racking up six saves in that time. Tuten finished with the only goal for the Crusaders while Asheton Robinson and Olivia Schmitke put shots on goal for North Greenville.

The Crusaders will head to Franklin Springs, Georgia on Saturday to take on the Emmanuel Lions in the second conference match of the season. The kickoff is scheduled for 7pm.
