CRUSADERS DOWNED BY MOUNT OLIVE IN FIRST CONFERENCE GAME

Mount Olive, N.C.—The NGU Women's Soccer Team suffered its first loss of the season on Saturday as the Mount Olive Trojans earned a 4-0 victory over the visiting Crusaders in the first Conference Carolinas game of 2015.

Mount Olive took an early 1-0 lead on a goal from Alex Wetherholt in the fifth minute. Jocelyn Yurchak extended the lead to 2-0 just before halftime with a goal in the 36th minute. The Trojans added two more goals in the second half to take the 2-0 victory.

Mount Olive outshot the Crusaders 19-6, 14 of those 19 shots coming in the first half. Madelynn Schober had eight saves for North Greenville in 75 minutes of action. The Crusaders will look to get back on track on the 16th when they host Lander University in a 5:30 non-conference kickoff.
