NGU Loses Battle of The Crusaders With Belmont Abbey
Belmont, NC – It’s been a long season for the Crusaders and it didn’t improve against Belmont Abbey as the Crusaders fell 3-0.  

The Crusaders fell behind four minutes in as Cierra Skyers opened the scoring for Belmont Abbey on an assist from Meghan Philp.

Theresa Mateo would add to the scoring for Belmont Abbey just before the half as Robyn Hatcher would pick up the assist.

Belmont Abbey would put the game to bed for good in the 59th minute as Maggie Moore would find the back of the net with Skyers picking up the assist on the play.

In her second straight start, freshman keeper Madelynn Schober recored 10 saves in the contest as Belmont totaled 27 shots to just two by the Crusaders.

North Greenville (0-11-1, 0-6-1 Conference Carolinas) will be in action again on Friday, Oct. 17 when they host the University of Mount Olive Trojans at 1 p.m. in Pepsi Stadium.
