Crusaders Lose To Emmanuel At Home
Tigerville, SC – The Lions of Emmanuel wasted no time in striking as they downed the Crusaders 4-1 Thursday night in Pepsi Stadium.

Emma Tamblyn had a first 30 minutes to remember as she opened the scoring in the 17th minute on an assist from Noel Samples.  The 26th minute would see her net twice as her first goal at 25:23 was assisted by Liene Vaciete.  It would take 21 seconds for her second goal to come unassisted. Halftime would see Tamblyn’s hat trick as the only scoring.

The Crusaders were competitive totaling five shots to the Lions eight.  They were outshot 8-13 for the game.

The Crusaders would get one back in the 59th minute as Alexandra Pagliaro scored on an assist from Sara Forrester.  That would be all the Crusader would get back however, as the Lions would get the goal back in the 77th minute as Liene Vaciete would score on an assist from Jessie Denney.

Michelle Huddleston and Madelynn Schober each played a half and recorded four saves.

The Crusaders (0-9-1, 0-4-1 Conference Carolinas) will host Pfeiffer University on Saturday, Oct. 11 at 1 p.m. in Pepsi Stadium.
