Lady Crusaders Grab First Points Of The Season
Tigerville, SC - North Greenville’s women’s soccer team picked up its first points of the season tonight picking up a 2-2 draw with the Saints of Limestone College.

The opening goal came from the penalty spot as senior Franki Jumper drew a penalty and then converted from the spot, placing the ball into the bottom right corner in the 27th minute.

That score would see itself to the half as the Crusader’s defense held strong.  The second half would see a more open game as it took just seven minutes for the scoreboard to see action as Zoe Fisher would open the scoring for the Saints on an assist from Gabriella Reid.

The Crusaders would waste no time in their response as Lindsay Tuten would score just one minute later pouncing on a ball inside the box capitalizing on the service from winger Ansley Dobbs.

Victory would be insight for the Crusaders until the 78th minute as Gabriella Reid would tie the game with a wonderful left footed shot from 18 yards out on an assist from Allie Winglosky.

The Crusaders will look to carry this momentum into their next game as The Crusaders (0-5-1, 0-1-1 Conference Carolinas) will travel to Erskine College on Monday, Sept. 29 at 5 p.m. in Due West, SC.
