Crusaders Shut Out By Clayton State
Morrow, GA - The Crusaders of North Greenville University were downed by Clayton State University 4-0 in game that saw NGU’s keepers tested.

Goalkeepers Katie Tate and Michelle Huddleston combined for 14 saves as the Crusader defense was tested throughout the night.  

The scoring opened in the 10th minute as Lucy Cunningham scored her seventh goal of the season on an assist from Maria Marti Bartis.  Maria would assist again, this time in the 15th minute on Rachael Schmidt’s second goal of the season.  

It would be twenty minutes before Clayton would strike again, this time the goal would come from Denisha Paskell on an assist from Brooke Bortles. 

Marti Bartis would finish her stellar day with her ninth goal of the season in the 78th minute on an assist from Melissa Hetherington.

The Crusaders (0-5, 0-1 Conference Carolinas) will host Limestone College on Friday, Sept. 26 at 5 p.m. in Pepsi Stadium.
