Women's Soccer Drops Heartbreaker to Bobcats

Banner Elk, NC - In search of their second Conference Carolinas' victory of the season, the North Greenville University women's soccer program got shutout by the Bobcats of Lees McRae College 1-0 on Saturday afternoon.

After a scoreless first half, the Bobcats and Crusaders remained in a scoreless tie until the final minute of play when Lees McRae's Sarah Maher scored the only goal of the game with just 58 seconds remaining on the game clock.

Crusader keeper Katie Tate totaled nine saves in the loss as Lees McRae outshot North Greenville 28-5 in the contest.

North Greenville (4-4, 1-1 Conference Carolinas) will return home for a conference matchup with Converse College on Thursday, Oct. 3 at 5 p.m. in Pepsi Stadium.
