Crusaders Come Up Short Against King

Bristol, TN - Despite outshooting King College 23-22 in the game, the North Greenville women's soccer team dropped the final game of their three-game road trip with a 1-0 decision to the Tornado on Wednesday afternoon.

After a scoreless first half of play, King's Monica Aguirre put the Tornado on the board with a goal in the 47th minute of play on an assist from Heidi Steger. The Crusaders put up a strong effort to come back but fell just short of a victory.

Sophomore Taylor Kelley recorded nine saves in the game, as King put 10 shots on goal in comparison to to 12 shots on goal by the Crusaders.

North Greenville (0-7, 0-4 in Conference Carolinas) will host Mount Olive College on Saturday, Sept. 29 at Noon in Pepsi Stadium.
