Tigerville, SC – The struggles continue for the North Greenville University women’s soccer team as the Crusaders dropped their Conference Carolinas opener 5-1 to defending conference champions Lees McRae on Saturday afternoon.
The Bobcats recorded two goals in the first half from Mary Dorn and Erica Allen to go into the break with a 2-0 advantage.
After halftime, Sam Arendt and Ally Titsworth got together three times to give the Bobcats five goals in the game.
Freshman forward Caroline Baker recorded her first career goal and the first goal of the season for North Greenville in the 72nd minute on an assist from fellow freshman Alli Mims.
The Crusaders (0-4) begin a three-game road trip on Tuesday, Sept. 18 as they travel to Erskine College for a matchup in Due West, SC at 5 p.m.
