Banner Elk, N.C. – The North Greenville women’s soccer team fell short in its bid for a second conference win as the Lady Crusaders fell to Lees-McRae 5-0 on Saturday afternoon.
The Bobcats (3-2, 3-0) scored three first half goals and two second half goals to down North Greenville.
The Lady Crusaders were outshot 34-1 as keeper Krista Young, making her first start of the season, recorded 14 saves in the game.
“We have a young team with a ton of potential, we just have to get some things worked out,” said head coach Jesse McCormick. “I am looking forward to the things we can do as the season goes on.”
North Greenville (2-3, 1-1) will host conference opponent Coker College on Tuesday, Sept. 20 in Pepsi Stadium at 4 p.m.
