Lady Crusaders unable to extend win streak

Tigerville, SC – The North Greenville women’s soccer team fell behind early and was unable to comeback, dropping the season’s final contest to King College 2-1.

After winning six games in a row, the Lady Crusaders were hoping to honor their seniors on Senior Day but fell just short.

King scored an early goal in the games second minute and another in the 42nd minute to hold a two-goal lead at the half.

The Lady Crusaders would do their best to mount a comeback as Jade Salle scored a goal in the 57th minute but were unable to get any more opportunities as time ran out.

North Greenville finishes the 2010 with a record of 10-6 and will look to carry its late-season momentum into the regional tournament next week.
