Lady Crusaders unable to rebound against Mt. Olive

Tigerville, SC – The North Greenville women’s soccer team was unable to rebound from a tough loss to Erskine last night as the team lost to Mount Olive College 2-0 Friday afternoon.

"Overall I saw some good things today," said head coach Jesse McCormick. "Mount Olive isn't a bad team and missing a couple of key players hurt us offensively."

The Lady Trojans were in command of the game early and often. Despite strong play from keeper Regina Ibanga, who recorded nine saves in the game, Mount Olive outshot the Lady Crusaders 16-2.

Mount Olive scored goals in the 2nd and 42nd minutes to build a two-goal deficit that they would hang on to through out the game.

The Lady Crusaders will travel to Gaffney, SC on Tuesday, Oct. 12 to take the field against Limestone College. Game time is set for 4 p.m.
