On a soggy senior night for the North Greenville University Soccer programs, both men and the women handled business winning in both contests
For the men, the victory came in the way of a 4-2 grind against Virginia Intermont. In the contest Senior Seth Snyder stole the show scoring a goal in the 10th minute, and assisting two others. Fellow senior Juan Carlos Aguilera added a goal as well in the 19th minute of play from Pepsi Field. After the game head coach Chad Gfeller commended his seniors, “Our seniors are special. They do everything seniors on good teams do whether its lead by example, or be very vocal when necessary.” Rounding out the senior class is Manuel Izguierdo and Max Duarte.
For the women, it was yet another shutout for Senior Jessica Brinkley which gives her 21 for her career. The ladies who scored only 1 goal in the first half exploded for 3 after intermission including one from four- year standout Danielle Duff (82nd min.). Kaleigh Meara and Beth Morgan, the two other seniors for NGU, also played great games anchoring the defense. Additional goals were scored by Leah ward (29th min.) Ashlyn Henderson (59th min.) and Hayle Williams (79th min.). The final score ended with North Greenville on top 4-0.
