LADY CRUSADERS LOSE CLOSE MATCH TO TROJANS

Anderson, S.C.—
On Monday night the North Greenville women’s soccer team traveled to Anderson South Carolina to take on the Anderson University Trojans on senior night. Despite having the lead late in the game the Crusaders allowed two Anderson goals and the Trojans took the Match 2-1.

The only goal for the Crusaders came on an unassisted break away by Junior Leah Ward. The Crusaders held the lead most of the second half when Anderson tied the game up in the 85th minute. Two minutes later the Trojans would score the game winner. . "We played well and I am happy with the hard work" said head coach Jesse McCormick, "it was a back and forth game and we had our chances in the second half." North Greenville is now 9-5 on the season with four games left. The next of those four games is Saturday October 31 at 6pm in Tigerville
