After beating Tennessee Temple last Saturday 9-0, the NGU women’s soccer team Traveled to Cleveland Georgia on Friday to take on Truett McConnell.
The Crusaders entered the game with a 5-3 record and would leave with a 6-3 record defeating the Bears 2-1.
The Crusaders were lead with an unassisted goal from Junior Leah Ward and a goal from Rebecca Stidham with an assist from Emily Pittman. “It was a good team win for us” said head coach Jesse McCromick, “it is always nice to win on the road and it helps us build momentum going into our next match.” The Lady Crusaders’ next match will be on October 8th when they travel to Erskine College. The next home match will be October 13th against St. Andrews.
