Ashlyn Henderson, a freshman from Atlanta, GA at North Greenville University, has been named the National Christian College Athletic Conference’s national soccer Student-Athlete of the week it was announced by the NCCAA office in Greenville, SC.
Henderson, a power packed 4-9 forward, scored five goals last week in leading the NGU women’s team to its best start ever. Henderson scored two goals in a 4-0 win over Columbia College last Wednesday, and added a hat trick in 17 minutes in an 8-0 rout of Kentucky Christian in Tigerville last weekend. Henderson attended Loganville Christian Academy in Atlanta.
NGU is riding a best ever four-game win streak in jumping out to a 4-1 record for first year head coach Jesse McCormick. The next home game for NGU is Friday, Sept. 19 at 4:00 p.m. against Lander at Pepsi Stadium.
