Tigerville, S.C. – Candace Petit graduated in May but her solid performance in the classroom earned the now women's lacrosse alum one more honor as she was named to the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association Division II Academic Honor Roll.
The IWLCA honored 248 student-athletes from 65 different institutions on the 2018 IWLCA Zag Sports Division II Academic Honor Roll. To be eligible for this honor, student-athletes must be a junior, senior, or graduate student and have earned a cumulative academic GPA of 3.50 or greater.
Petit is part of the inaugural women's lacrosse team at North Greenville and one of just three players from the first squad to graduate following the 2018 season. She is one of 248 women to earn the honor sponsored by Zagsports and one of just 10 players from Conference Carolinas to earn the award.
"We are so proud of Candace for representing our program in such a positive manner," remarked head coach Brianna Temples. "She has been an example to her team of what it means to be a student-athlete. Candance will excel no matter where she goes in life and we are so thankful for her time with our program."
