Mount Olive, N.C. - North Greenville's season got off to a slow start on Saturday as the Crusaders fell to 12th ranked Mount olive 21-1.
North Grenville's only goal of the game came second half when Taylor Kennington scored her first collegiate goal with 24:44 left in the game. The Trojans still held a comfortable lead at 16-1 after NGU's lone score.
The Trojans pocketed 14-goals in the opening half and took 18-shots. North Greenville failed to unleash any shots on net during the first period of play and finished the game with just two total attempts on net. The Trojans set the tone early as they scored their first goal 47-seconds into the game.
NGU fell to 0-1 on the season but will look to earn its first win next week the Crusaders travel to Gaffney to take on Limestone College. The Crusaders and Saints are scheduled for a 3:30 start time.
