Tigerville, S.C. - The North Greenville University Women's Lacrosse came up short in their search for their program's first win in defeat to the Limestone Saints 20-1.
The Saints offense was able to start off strong in the game as they took an early 6-0 lead over the hosting Crusaders. It was at the 12:48 mark in the first half as Nikki Colwell would get North Greenville on the board bringing the score to 6-1. Limestone would then take control for the rest of the half going on an 8-0 run going into the half with the lead of 14-1.
The Crusaders would begin the second half by winning the opening draw control. Limestone would then take advantage of a North Greenville turnover to sart the scoring in the second half at 3:37 making the score 15-1. The Crusaders offense would remain cold for the rest of the game dropping this one to the Saints 20-1.
The Crusaders fell to 0-5 on the season after Friday night's loss, and will not get a long rest with a game on Saturday, March 7 against the Belmont Abbey Crusaders. This game is scheduled for 11:00 AM here in Tigerville at Pepsi Stadium.
