Tigerville, S.C.-- Head women's lacrosse coach Michael Bayne is putting together the final pieces of the puzzle adding two coaches to the mix as well as announcing the team captains as the team gears up for its inaugural season of Lacrosse at North Greenville. Coach Bayne as announced that Brianna Hoffman and Erin Kicklighter have been added to the staff as the Crusaders gear up for the 2015 season.

Brianna Hoffman, the Associate Head Coach coach for the Crusaders is a 2013 graduate of Converse College, with a degree of English with a concentration in creative writing, where she played and started all four years as a Valkyrie. During her time there she was named All Conference Carolinas Player, Team and Hustle Award recipient, Captain, All Strength Team, and Conference Carolinas Presidential Honor Roll. She has 130 career points. Coach Hoffman comes to NGU from Hillcrest High School, where she was head coach. While at Hillcrest, Hoffman led to the schools winningest record of 13-2, which was also the school’s first time significant wins. While at Hillcrest her team was the recipient of Rhett Thomas Sportsmanship Award and had the pleasure of coaching 5 All Region Players, 3 All State Players, and 3 All Upper State Players. “We are excited to have Hoffman come be a part of NGU history,” says Head Coach Michael Bayne. “Hoffman is a fine Christian young lady and will be a great member of the family.”

Erin Kicklighter has also been added to the staff as the Graduate Assistant and Director of Women’s Lacrosse Operations. Kicklighter is a 2014 graduate of NGU, with a degree in Elementary Education. While at NGU, Kicklighter was a member of the Track and Field team, where she specialized in the discus and competed at the Conference Carolina’s Championships for 2 years, until an injury sat her out her senior year. She was also a part of the music department, Student Services, and Campus Ministries. Kicklighter is excited to be working with the team and be a part of another inaugural season! Head Coach Michael Bayne says, “Erin is a great young lady and we are excited to see what she brings to the team both on the field and in the office.”

Coach Michael Bayne has also named the first four captains for the NGU Women's Lacrosse program.
The leadership team for the Lady Crusaders will be rounded off by our Captains.
Attack Captain- Nikki Colwell- All State at Riverside High School, Transfer from Newberry
Defense Captain- Sam Poppleton- All State at Chapin High School
Middie Captain- Monica Colwell- All State at Riverside High School
Goalie Captain- Cheyenne Consolo- All State at Riverside High School, Transfer from Tennessee Wesleyan

The Crusaders will open up the first ever lacrosse season at North Greenville in February of 2015.
