Salisbury, N.C. – North Greenville women’s golf was back on the links this week posting a 14th place finish at the Patsy Rendleman Invitational.
The Crusaders shot a team total 639 after round scores of 325 on day one and 314 on day two. The tournament champion Limestone finished with a 586 while UNC Pembroke and Queens finished In the second and third spots with scores of 591 and 601. Erskine College and King University finished 15 and 16 behind the Crusaders.
North Greenville was paced by freshman Parker Salvey who posted the only top-20 finish for NGU, earning 17th overall. She shot a 77 on day one and shaved off three strokes in her second round to shoot a 74, finishing her with a total of 151. Allison Avery was second on the team with a two day total of 160. Avery posted an 82 in her first trip around but was NGU’s biggest mover on day two, cutting off four strokes to shoot a 78.
Elena Denny posted a 163 and improved three strokes from her 83 in round one to post an 80 while Miriam Sundell shot an 83 and an 82 for a two-round score of 165. Jordan Kirkley finished with a 167 after scores of 83 and 84.
The Crusaders will be back in action on October 14th at the LeeAnn Noble Memorial hosted by North Georgia. The tournament will be played at Achasta Golf Club in Dahlonega, Georgia.
