NGU placed ninth out of ten teams in the Converse Spring Invitational tournament in Spartanburg, SC. Weather was certainly a factor as no participant in the entire tournament shot an even par or below. Savannah Hallman was the top finisher for the Crusaders while Allison Avery finished just five stroke behind her.
Savannah Hallman was the top finisher for the Crusaders, taking a total of 174 strokes (+30) in two rounds. She played the best round of the tournament among NGU participants on Monday, taking a total of 84 strokes (+12). She followed that with a round of 90 strokes (+18).
Allison Avery finished with a total of 179 strokes (+35) for the tournament. She recorded 88 strokes (+16) in round one and 91 strokes (+19) in round two.
Miriam Sundell posted 90 strokes (+18) in her first round and 99 strokes (+27) in her second round for a total of 189 strokes (+45).
Rachel Huber had the lowest differential between rounds, taking 93 strokes (+21) in round one and 97 strokes (+25) in round two for a total of 190 strokes (+46).
Ashlynn Mullis posted 93 strokes (+21) in her first round but withdrew from the tournament.
