Greeneville, TN—North Greenville women’s tennis wrapped up its last regular season tournament on Tuesday night, finishing 13th at the Agnes McAmis Memorial tournament hosted by Tusculum College.
King University brought home the tournament title while Wingate finished second. Coker College and Tusculum rounded out the top five. The Tornado brought home the title with a two-round total of 610.
North Greenville finished the 36-hol competition with a team total of 690. The field wrapped up play on Tuesday afternoon after wrapping up a rain-shortened first day. Round one was finished Tuesday morning with the second round following immediately after.
Ashlynn Mullis led the team with a team low of 168 after 36-holes. Mullis was also one of the team’s biggest movers from day one to two, shooting an 87 on day one followed by an 81 in round two. She finished the tournament in a tie for 47th.
Morgan Reece was three strokes behind Mullis with a two-day total of 171 while Sarah Dutton clocked in with a 173. Reece shot an 86 and an 85 while Dutton made the biggest improved from round-to-round, shooting a 90 and an 83.
Other Scores for the Crusaders included a 178 for Megan Miller with rounds of 91 and 87 and a 181 for Miriam Sundell with scores of 91 and 90.
The next time on the course for North Greenville will be at the Conference Carolinas tournament on April 23rd at the Cutter Creek Country Club in Snow Hill, North Carolina.
