Hartsville, S.C. – NGU women finished up their second tournament of the spring on Tuesday with a 7th place finish at the Coker Women’s Invitational.

Coker College, the tournament host brought home the title while Erskine and South Carolina at Beaufort rounded out the top three. Coker shot a team low 648 for the weekend while North Greenville finished the tournament with a 725 as a unit.

Ashlynn Mullis finished tops for the Crusaders for the second week in a row with a team low 174 for 36-holes. Mullis shot a 90 on day one but shaved six strokes off of her total on Tuesday to place 27th overall for the tournament. Morgan Reece claimed North Greenville’s next best finish, shooting a 179 after 36-holes. Reece carded an 87 after one round but fell off slightly in round two as she shot a 92.She finished four places behind Mullis in 31st.

Sarah Dutton finished a spot behind Reece after shooting a 180. Dutton also showed improvement from round to round, shaving off eight strokes from her round one total of 94 to card an 86 in round two. Megan Miller also showed some improvement in the second round, improving two strokes from her round one 98 to shoot a 96.

NGU’s biggest mover for the week was Miriam Sundell. Sundell shot a 107 in the first round but trimmed an impressive 13-strokes in her second round to shoot a 94. Sundell finished with a two-day total of 201 while finishing 38th.

The Crusaders will return to the course in two weeks when they host the Cherokee Valley Women’s Invitational at Cherokee Valley Country Club.
