Salisbury, N.C. – North Greenville women’s golf wrapped up its fall schedule on Tuesday with a 14th place finish at the Patsy Rendleman Invitational.
Tusculum College took home the first place title while Wingate earned a second place finish. North Georgia and Lenoir-Rhyne tied for third while Young Harris earned a 5th place finish.
Morgan Reece claimed the only top 25 finish for the Crusaders, finishing the two round tournament in a tie for 21st. Reece shot a pair of 79’s, carding a two day total of 158.
The Crusaders had a tie for second place on the team as Ashlynn Mullis and Meghan Heald finished the tournament in 38th. Mullis improved seven strokes from round one to round two, carding an 85 and a 78. Heald shot an 81 and an 82; both players totaled 163 for the tournament.
Rachel Huber and Megan Miller were the biggest movers for North Greenville. Huber finished with a two-day total of 193, improving nine strokes after shooting a 101 in the first round. Huber closed the tournament with a 92. Miller also turned in a solid turnaround, shooting a 102 on day one, but rebounding to shoot a 92 on day two, gaining 10-strokes.
The Crusaders will be back in action on March 6, 2017 at the Pfeiffer Invitational in Hilton Head, South Carolina.
